Chronic and acute pain take no furlough. Mitigating your pain concerns coupled with patient and staff safety will continue to be of utmost concern.

The Staff at Balcones Pain Consultants
March 24, 2020
Balcones Pain Consultants has been monitoring the Covid-19 epidemic closely.
We wanted to share a few updates our office has undergone in the last 24 hours.
First and foremost, we thank you for remaining patient and working through this with us - your support and business is very appreciated. From our family to yours - we thank you.
An Executive Order from Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, states that all surgery centers will cease their elective procedures.
Therefore, we will temporarily close Water Leaf Surgery Center on 3/24/2020. This will allow us to comply with the Governor’s request as well as allow us to continue assessing the COVID-19 situation.
Upon the expiration of the Executive order, we will begin to offer patients a date to reschedule their procedure after April 21, 2020.
Regarding Balcones Pain Consultants - we have moved all of our patients to telehealth visits.
If you have an appointment or need to schedule an appointment our team will be working to provide you with options to access your provider via video, FaceTime, or via phone.
The Texas Medical Board still mandates a urinary drug screen for controlled substances. We are requiring patients to visit our offices at a scheduled time to provide their UDS in a controlled environment.
Our staff will screen you upon entry for any symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, cough, etc.), if you not exhibiting any symptoms we will usher you into a restroom to provide your specimen and then you are free to go. Upon receipt of your UDS we will then release your medications at the pharmacy.
Our Austin location is accepting UDS on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's.
Our Cedar Park and Marble Falls locations are accepting your UDS on Tuesday's and Thursday's.
Furthermore, we have reduced our staff to avoid any further exposure and they have been sent home with pay. We have a core team that is assisting at each location or working from home.
All injections are cancelled until further notice.
Our plan is to reassess when we can provide these services again. We promise to remain in contact with everyone.
Thank you again,
Balcones Pain Consultants
